Tackling Food Poverty in Leeds, Together.

We connect people, initiatives, and institutions to help those struggling with food poverty in our city.

What is the Leeds Food Aid Network?

Leeds Food Aid Network (FAN) exists to help bring different people, initiatives and institutions together who are involved in tackling food poverty in the city of Leeds.

We help stimulate interactions so people can connect more effectively to help people struggling with food poverty. Food Aid includes Food Banks, Food Drop In's/Soup Kitchens, Street Outreaches/Soup Runs, Parish/Food Pantries and certain forms of Social Enterprise.

Our Focus Areas:

  • Signposting: Referring people experiencing food poverty to appropriate providers.
  • Distribution: Helping the food industry and individuals distribute food effectively (e.g., working with FareShare).
  • Longer Term Assistance: Connecting vulnerable people with groups that can help with longer-term needs.
